Banded Viking Whetstones in Smooth Jasper.

Whetstones have been used for centuries for fine sharpening (honing) of blades. All of our Viking whetstones have a hole drilled through and an attached leather thong so you can wear it round your neck, or attach it to your belt. We have banded Jasper whetstones, the same as archaeological finds from places such as York, England and Birka, Sweden and we also stock courser-grained banded sandstone whetstones, which are great for putting an edge on your blade.
