Freya with Her Falcon Coat & Cats - Viking Dragon Blogs

Freya owns a magical falcon skin that can allow her to fly over the nine worlds. There is also a legend that she was the witch Gullveig, meaning the lust for gold. Before the war between the Aesir and the Vanir tribes it was told that Gullveig came to Asgard and the gods burned her thrice after spearing her. She came back to life all three times more powerful than before. It is said that this is what started the war between the Aesir and the Vanir. After the conflict Freya taught Odin seidr magic, which is able to weave the fates of gods and men.
