Ull (Ullr), is the Norse god of hunting and is an excellent hunter, archer, skier and skater. He is the son of the Norse goddess Sif and the stepson of the thunder god Thor. There are sparse tales about Ull apart from him travelling across the ocean on his shield and that he is from Ýdalir,  or 'Yew Dales' in English, which equates to the association of all bows being made from yew. He is depicted here with his yew bow and a cloak made of bearskin.
