Nerta, also know as Nerthus, is sometimes called 'Mother Earth'. She is the mother of the Norse gods, Freyr and Freya. She is one of the Vanir gods and the equivalent of the Aesir goddess Jord. Nerthus and Njord are thought to form a divine pair, much the same as Freya & Freyr.
