Vikings didn't really use coins like we do in modern times, but used their weight in silver /gold to buy / barter goods and often cut pieces off them to exchange for other goods. Our Viking coins are all replica designs of actual Viking finds and are made in a metal alloy rather than the original silver or gold coins.
